    Great plugin!!! I’m curious about your future plans for this plugin, What’s next?

    • wpfruits says:

      Thanks Melvis,
      We are open for suggestions you might have to improve or upgrade the plugin.

      • Fei says:

        Is it possible to have it on one half of the page? is it possible to have the picture/pictures on top of the original solid color background?

        • wpfruits says:

          The plugin is made that it stretched to the full width of whatever resolution you are using so I would suggest you to please edit that images in that way and add that color to the half of the image as you want it to look. That should sort out your issue.

  2. pete says:

    How do you slow down the slide transitions ? Id Like really slow changes – is much cooler- is there an option ?

  3. John says:

    Love the plugin, but i’m noticing my backgrounds don’t show up in IE6. any work around for this? besides people just not using IE6

    • wpfruits says:

      HI John,

      I am sorry but we are not willing to make it work with IE6. According to my google analytics only 4% of visitors are using IE and I assume out of those 4% may be .1% of them will be using IE6. In any case they will switch to a better browser. Also if someone is using IE6 that means they already know that sites dont work good with their browser ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Sam says:

    hi. how can i turn off the slider for the homepage? i have a ‘striking’ theme for my blog and the homepage is part of the theme’s general settings – i can control where the slider shows up everywhere else… help? thx

  5. Sam says:

    i deleted the entries from the main settings and everything disappeared – even my old background – and i don’t know how to add it back.

  6. sam says:

    now i’m kinda hosed … don’t know how to recover

  7. sam says:

    p.s. — i deleted the plug in and reinstalled/reactivated it but still hosed.

  8. Karl says:

    I have installed the free version, works fine and as promised.
    However, when I start from fullscreen view and pull my browser screen into a different dimension, the background images get out of propertion. Is there a way to keep the proportion of the orginal images? Mabe this is an option in premium version?

    • wpfruits says:

      We have made the plugin so that when you add the background it adjust the images to the full background. so if you use small images, it will stretch them to fill the complete background. I still dont see your issue. Can you please provide the url. With the premium edition. You get an option to add up to 10 slides compared to 6 in the free version plug you can set the time for the fade effect for each page.
      You can connect to us at wpfruits@gmail.com. Or rather there is a live chat option in the right section and we will help you out.

      • Katherine says:

        I’m using this plugin as well and have the same problem. Sometimes (but not always) when the browser is resized, the ratio aspect of the images changes so the images become a little distorted. I realized that this issue only occurs for me if the image is wider than it is tall; if the image is a square or if it is taller than it is wide, the aspect ratio is maintained when the browser is resized. Is there anyway to fix this, maybe some code I could add, so that I can use landscape images in the slider? Or is there a solution for this in the premium version of this plugin?

        I would provide a link for the site I’m working on, but it is not live yet. Let me know if anything in unclear or if you need more info.

  9. sam grisham says:

    hi. http://www.sistamoments.com is my url. i reinstalled and had to uninstall/delete all files again. no data in the setting fields and now โ€ฆ i can no longer make any updates to my theme header! Are there hooks that didn’t get removed? argh

  10. James says:

  11. Narf says:

    verry nice plugin only one question.
    is it possible to add a overlay effect? ex.
    (‘overlay’, {
    and how?
    thx a lot

  12. RV Infotech says:

    Dear sir I installed plugin on my website but slider not available on my home page. Please guide me at ramdeen.seo@gmail.com

  13. Sharon says:

    Hi there – love the plugin, purchased premium and all was fine.

    I removed the images from the default so that my home page would not have a background and suddenly all my other images have disappeared.

    When I try to load one from a link it gives me and “image corrupt” error.

    Images in my Media Gallery are fine.

    Images in my NextGen gallery will not load – though I can see them in the gallery.

    This is a HUGE problem.

  14. Sharon says:

    I have logged in to helpdesk and tried to “submit ticket” but am not getting any response.

    My website is broken – I need help ASAP.

    • Sharon says:

      Thanks for the online support – it turned out to be a cache problem – when I loaded the page with Chome it worked but not in FF until the cache was cleared.

      Thanks for such quick support I’ve been working on this for 3 weeks and we go live tomorrow (and yes I had a backup…)

      You guys ROCK and the plugin is just the touch I needed to make the website look great.

  15. ez says:

    The slider is fixed on the page, but is it possible to make it scroll with the page while still keeping it as a background? Thanks.

  16. kim says:

    I have installed this and followed the instructions to the letter, but I don’t get anything.
    I checked the bos that says, ”
    Add this post/page to “FWB Slider”..”, added my urls for the images, made sure to clear my cache for the preview, andโ€ฆnothing happened. No background slider.
    What have I done wrong?

    • wpfruits says:

      I tried to see your website but its in maintenance mode so I couldnt check it. This wont happen unless the theme you are using is a full width theme or the theme already uses a full width image in the background. You will need to make a few tweaks in the CSS to make it work then.

  17. James says:

    Hi there, i am using your full page background pluging. I am trying to work out how to adjust the height of an image? i want the height of my image to be constant whilst the width adjusts as it does in your plug in. Is there a way for my to add a height value?

  18. mh1 says:

    FWB breaks the Add Media function in WP 3.5. Here is the fixed function within admin.js. Hope you can post it soon in an update.

    /*– Upload image jquery start ————–*/
    var targetfield= ”;
    var orig_send_to_editor = window.send_to_editor;
    jQuery(‘.fwb_uploadbtn’).click(function() {
    targetfield = jQuery(this).prev(‘.fwb_uploadimg’);
    tb_show(”, ‘media-upload.php?type=image&TB_iframe=true’);

    window.send_to_editor = function(html) {
    imgurl = jQuery(‘img’,html).attr(‘src’);
    window.send_to_editor = orig_send_to_editor;
    return false;

    • mh1 says:

      To clarify, the function above replaces the last function in fwpslider_admin.js

      Also, there is still one problem to be resolved. If the user clicks the Browse button to add a new slider image, but clicks the ‘X’ in the top right of the add image screen to cancel. The original window.send_to_editor() is not restored, and therefore they will not be able to add media to the page/post content. So it still needs a little work, but I’ll leave the rest to you. Thanks.

    • mh1 says:

      Here is a version of the function in fwbslider_admin.js which fixes the issue with Add Media in WP 3.5 and also restores the original window.send_to_editor() function.

      Hope this helps.

      /*– Upload image jquery start ————–*/
      var targetfield = ”;
      var orig_send_to_editor = window.send_to_editor;
      jQuery(‘.fwb_uploadbtn’).click(function() {
      targetfield = jQuery(this).prev(‘.fwb_uploadimg’);
      tb_show(”, ‘media-upload.php?type=image&TB_iframe=true’);

      //restore send_to_editor() when tb closed
      jQuery(“#TB_window”).bind(‘tb_unload’, function () {
      window.send_to_editor = orig_send_to_editor;

      //temporarily redefine send_to_editor()
      window.send_to_editor = function(html) {
      imgurl = jQuery(‘img’,html).attr(‘src’);
      return false;

    • wpfruits says:

      Thanks a lot I am already working on the issue with post and update when we have fixed the issue which I am sure wont take more than couple of hours.

      Thanks a lot for your help.

  19. nuSolutions says:

    I have just the project for this but have just two easy questions:
    1. Any chance of being able to add a video as part of the background?
    2. If I start with the free version will I have to uninstall it when I purchase the pro?

  20. nuSolutions says:

    3. Is it compatible with the latest version of WordPress?
    4. Any issues using it with BuddyPress?

    • wpfruits says:

      Your answers

      1) No we havent tried that yet so answer to that is no
      2) Yes you will need to install the pro plugin but you wont need to add the images again and I am sure you will love it because pro has a lot more features.
      3) Yes it is tested with the 3.5 version of wordpress
      4) No issues has been noted yet.

    We are still having the problem mh1 reported

    “FWB breaks the Add Media function in WP 3.5.”

    We are using Full Width Background Slider Version 1.0.9 and WP 3.5

    We have tried the edit to fwbslider_admin.js but it seems to have no affect.

    Is there anything else we can try?

  22. Derwaish says:

    i have installed free version, it worked fine for few hours, next morning its not showing slider on front page back ground. please help.

  23. Murtaza says:

    Hi Rahul sir,

    I referred this plugin to some one, he was checking the functionality and he found something buggy on the next prev button on right hand side, when you click on the prev button, after 6-7 clicks, the background images disappears and only white bg color appears.
    After few seconds of the images again re-appears.

    Please check it and fix it, so that I can ask to him to check the slider working over here and then he will buy it with my referral.

  24. Denisse says:

    Thanks so much for this plugin, I have been having fun with it for a few hours now, Im considering buying it because I want the buttons feature !…the fun stopped when the background slider disapppeared completely XD I was adjusting some innocent pixels, refreshing the website and then I realized the slider was not working a few minutes later, so I dont know exactly what happened. The wp core (the top admin bar when im logged in) also disappeared (im sure im logged).

    Would you please give it a little check? http://www.cosplayrockfoto.com

    You seem really nice and helpful, so

  25. Ian says:

    How do you upgrade from free to Pro? Just purchases and it’s not clear how to do this

  26. Kasey says:

    I wonder why my images are so pixelated, they are 1000×1400 pixels, is there a better size?

  27. Kasey says:

    I purchased the pro FWS but my iages are very pixelated. They are 1400×1000, so they should be fine. Can you let me know how to adjust this?

  28. Megan says:

    I have installed the FWB plugin and added the image urls as it was shown but then the slider does not show up? Can you please tell me why?

  29. jason says:

    would be great if you could add text with each slide… and position wherever with a little css

  30. I posted this bug almost 2 months ago and have not gotten any response. ๐Ÿ™ The problem I’m having is the background images distort as you change the width of the browser. I made a video: http://www.screenr.com/DFV7 But you can also see this problem on THIS very website. As I make the browser window smaller the images distort.

    I would LOVE to know if you guys plan on addressing this issue. Thank you.

    Mac, tested on Safari, Chrome and Firefox

  31. romi says:

    I have pre-sales question. If there an option in the pro version to turn this off by default for all posts? I only want it to show on the home page and a few designated posts and pages. I have over a 1000 posts on my blog and having to turn each off manually is just too much.

    And also, what image formats are possible for use? Are animated gif support?

    Best regards

  32. Andrew says:

    I recently purchased your Plugin from CodeCanyon. Excellent plugin, however, My images are being cropped quite significantly. I have even adjusted the size of the image using photoshop, however it upscaled the image to the original size which is larger than the screen and still cropped it (For Example The image is being set to top: -900 when the image is 1125px in height)

  33. Hello says:

    Will the pro version work with twentythirteen? The free version does not.

    • Megha says:

      Hi Yes,

      The plugin is working with twenty thirteen theme of the wordpress, but you will need to customize the theme by setting it its body container width.

  34. mark donners says:

    Is there a way to change the default setting voor sound on the background video? When the page is loaded the video sound is off and it has to be turned on by clicking the speaker button…i would like to sound to be on when a page is loaded…or at least i should have this option..

  35. Robin Goris says:

    Do you have an update for WordPress 3.7 as yet? Thanks.

  36. Seb says:

    just bought the WPF and installed it on my local test site with wp 3.7.1. I tried an individual slider for one page.
    First setup was ok and works.
    but now i want to change settings. This doesn’t work. It always reloads old settings. Even disabling the slider for this post does not work.
    Any ideas?

    Is there a shortcode to call FWB Slider as I want to add to a custom header

    • nishant says:

      HI James,

      Unfortunately, currently there is no shortcode is available to call FWB slider.
      But we will try to add it in future.

  38. stan says:

    is that possible to add URL for each slide
    so i can click on slide?

  39. Thomas says:

    I just bought the Pro Version and ran into big problems. It’s a clean 3.7.1 install on twenty twelve, because I tried 3.8 first, but got PHP errors. Nevetheless. But I can’t get a video to work. Neither self hosted MP4 (can you use a OGV fallback, by the way? for FF) nor youtube URL. I just get the demo image gallery. Maybe you can help. No other plugins installed right now.

    Thank you very much!
